In the first week of May, Sulmaq participated in IFFA 2019 in Frankfurt, the No. 1 global trade fair for equipment and solutions for the meat industry.
Marel brought 20 innovations comprising all meat processing value chain, from primary and secondary to further processing, setting flexibility, efficiency, food safety, traceability, and products diversity standards. Visitors had insights about how meat processors can find more intelligent ways to face today´s food production challenges. "To Marel, it means automate and optimize processes along the value chain, from live animals to the final product in the supermarket", stated David Wilson, Marel Meat Executive VP. "Marel brings to IFFA 2019 the most recent advances which enable processors to work in intelligent and optimal ways."
Fernando Roos, Marel Meat LATAM Regional Director added, “IFFA 2019 was the best of all times. We are very impressed with the results and the participation of Latin American customers.”
Along with the participation in the fair, Sulmaq organized other actions aimed at the LATAM market, such as visits in Marel´s hog and cattle slaughtering and deboning reference plants in Holland and Belgium, and processes exhibitions at Marel´s Progress Point da Marel in Copenhagen, Denmark. We had the presence of 17 Sulmaq/Marel LATAM team members.
